Must be in MI – MDOT experience

An MBA would be great

 

Responsibilities:

The duties of the Office Manager include management of all aspects of civil projects in conjunction with the Project Manager from conceptual and preliminary to final design, coordinating the planning and execution of project tasks, managing project staff and budgetary oversight. The Office Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive client relationships, and involved with proposal development. Projects will include highway/roadway designs project for the Michigan Department of

Transportation (MDOT), local government agencies, developers and Design/Build projects with contractors.

 

Requirements:
  • BS in Civil or Transportation Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Michigan or the ability to obtain it with 6 months
  • 10-15 years’ experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design and project management
  • Familiarity with MDOT design standards
  • Must have MDOT experience
  • Experience with Microstation and InRoads, GeoPak or other transportation design software packages required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skill
  • Responsible for QC within the office
  • Responsible for budgeting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential
  • Experience in client coordination and marketing
  • Oversee office of 10 employees or more
